I am looking into several different Radiology programs, and am wondering in the job field, do hospitals/employers care what school you went to for your degree or do they just look to see if you're a certified Rad Tech when hiring? I'm looking at University of Nevada Las Vegas and Pima Medical Institute (both in Nevada), and Pima's program is only 2 years as opposed to UNLV's 4 year program. I just don't know if it looks better to a future employer if you graduate from an actual university as opposed to a private medical institution? Any help would be appreciated!

No they do not. Nor will they ask you how you scored on the registry, your placement in the class or anything else other than, are you registered?

Depending on the position applied for, they may prefer someone with a 2- or 4-year degree, but the actual program isn't relevant.

Actually that depends on the HR department. Some hospitals or HR personnel do prefer a school which they think that most of their graduates are really competitive and have a good training for all of their students. which is for is really "UNFAIR". However, there are some hospitals don't matter about the school you came from. They only looking after your license perhaps, and your score and if you passed their exams (if given any) and etc... Also, this profession is really nice because radiologic technologist salary is really cool for me.. (don't know your ideas too about this. ehhe) :D :D
