Usually young investigators, residents or fellows from the fields of Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy submit their scientific abstracts to the European Congress of Radiology in order to present their results in front of an international audience. As compared to the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of Northern America (RSNA), where registration fees are waived for presenters, that is not the case at ECR. And after all, a couple hundred Euros is a lot of money for a young person. Therefore I urge the European Society of Radiology (ESR) to waive the registration fees for presenters, because - at the end of the day - those are the ones that make the congress scientifically valuable and worth attending.

Thank you very much,
