I'm trying to eventually become an MRI tech, and apparently I have to become an Xray tech first. I wanted to know, what kinds of hazards come with the xray tech job? I've heard rumors that they're more suceptible to cancer because they're exposed to lots of radiation. Is this true?

Actually, there is not a requirement to become a certified Radiographer prior to training/certification in MR, although that's historically the most common path.

To find an accredited MR training program, see the ARRT website here: www.arrt.org Use the Education/CE left navigation link, go to Primary Certification/List of Educational Programs. Select "MRI" and you'll see accredited programs listed alphabetically by state.
