sorry if this has already been asked..
im going ot school right now getting pre reqs for a radiology tech program, and have started to wonder if this is the area of orthopedics i should be getting into. my thought was that i'd be able to work for some time as an RT and then continue on to becone a radiologist. i never inteded to become a full blown doctor!
my question is this: is there some position somewhere between an RT and radiologist that would involve reading xrays and such that does not require an MD or DO?
thanks for your help!

No.
Truthfully, that's the answer. If what you want to do with your time is to interpret diagnostic imaging? Start shopping for medical school. In order to do that, you must go through and graduate from medical school, internship and residency (and many do additional fellowships).
Good luck
