Xrays were discovered in 1895 by Wilhelm Roentgen. I don't know about fluoro. I will have to look that up  |

I don't think I've ever heard of a date for Edison's discovery of Flouro. Since he never completed his work. I looked it up in my textbook and it said "soon after the announcement of Roentgen's discovery."

Thanks for the info. I was reading my physics book today and the first chapter is the dicovery of xrays. It said that fluoro was developed in 1898 and that digital fluoro was developed in 1948. I remembered this question after reading it and was surprised.  |

x rays discovered by william rontegen in 1895.
he first xrayed his wife's hand.
in 1896 edison discovered mirror optical fluroscope required dark adaptation method to see dynamic images that were very dim.
the draw back was only pne person can see the image at a time. DRs. were wear goggles before 30minutes of the study.
in 1940 image intensification was developed.
image intensification doesnot need mirrors.
in 1950's image intensification starts to using in medical practice.
in 2000's digital image intensification, tv monitor starts to use. |
