Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows about the physical shape/health that an xray tech needs to be in (if any) for the job. Are they required to lift patiens and heavy machines, etc.?

Radiographers must stand for long periods, lift heavy patients, manuever heavy equipment and walk miles thoughout the course of a typical work day. All of the imaging modalities are fairly physical.
Each facility's job description has a related laundry list describing the physical activity level required.
