Hello. I am currently on my schools program waiting list for Rad Tech. and I was just curious if anyone knew how much you get paid an hour if you're just starting out. |

Like any other industry, how much you're paid is primarily a function of the cost of living - if you live in NYC, you'll earn more than if you live in Ames, IA.
Look at classified ads for RT's in your area for a better idea of the current starting salary.

Hello:
Take a look at salary.com but cost of living, is directly proportional to salary and demand. Also, depends who you work for. As a rad tech, I have seen so many sell themselves short due to lack of negotiating skills, always demand more. Even though you leave that job, think of the next tech, so keeping salaries, above avg. we have to pool together in order to have a good living for all.
I always show confidence to doctors, and that brings my salary up, now $40 and above and neg. into a salary not hours may help in some insistence. When it is not busy your gone and I hate the fact people subject themselves with letting the employer take pay away for Lunch. Neg. Neg. that is a cost to you up to $3000K off your salary.
I m pissed, do the right thing and get paid what were worth!
Thanks. _________________ 631-327-3236 |
