This is the main problem here. Massive increases in the number of new RTs according to the ARRT. Job growth is most definitely not up 50% since 2003 like new grads are. Also looks like the advanced modalities are really starting to get watered down too with massive increases.

No one can really answer that for you. It depends on the supply and demand of your area. Grades don't matter when applying for a job. Potential employers just want to make sure that you have either your temporary or permanent license. You could just get by with a 2.5 GPA or get a 4.0 in school....and it really doesn't matter in the workplace.

You could get a 100 on the ARRT registry or a 75...doesn't matter. You still end up as a radiographer either way.

Do some research about the availability of jobs and what the job outlook is like in the next few years for your location.

so employers don't even look at grades or scores? I want to get into the medical field and I was thinking radiography was the best way to go at my community college. they are accepting 20 a year into the program, and i wouldn't even be able to start before 2010 because they are filled up. you need to get a job and get some experience before going back to school for radiation therapy don't you? If there is a good chance I won't even be able to find a job after school I guess I need to keep looking for something else to go into.
