LOL j/k.
I was just a bit shocked when I went to my orientation (last Thursday) and class starts in 2 weeks. However, they gave us our first lecture (history of medicine and tons of homework (take home test, 2 journal articles from ASRT to outline and then to study for a test that is on the fist day of class over 2 chapters of Med Term!) I was shocked!
Say, do any of the rest of you have to do community service as part of your program? Starting with my class, they are requiring us to do 15 hours of community service per semester. Just thought that was kinda interesting!
Anyways just needed to vent

What a terrific idea! I think it's a great habit to encourage ..
Where are you going to school? I graduated from PGCC in Landover in 1979.

congrats on getting into your program.
I went to orientation on June 18, and it was one of the most disorganized events I've been to at the school. (I've been going since 2005 - we have to have all core classes completed before applying to the program).
If orientation is a representation of the way they hold class in this program, I'm going to go mad. Hopefully, it was just a one-time gaf.
No requirement of community service (as far as I know) in this program.
Good luck to you! You'll do fine!

Feel free to vent!!! It's just the start of your venting, though! I cannot speak for everyone, but I do my share of venting~~my poor family! THe dogs have even had their share of listening to me. IMHO, it's better to get it off your chest than to keep it in.
We had a minimal community service project, & it was only a 1 time thing. We prepared dinner at a church who has a free community dinner once a month. Then we helped serve & clean up. Not too bad.
Keep your chin up......it'll get better.......eventually you will graduate!! |
