Just curious to know, I'm only aware that after this semester, my GPA will be a 3.85 which I think rounds up to 3.9 . I was wondering if anyone had a perfect GPA to get in or what was it that got you in? Thanks

I was SO lucky that I got into my program. I had a 3.08 GPA in the core required classes that they use to determine whether you get in or not...they took everyone who had a 3.0 and over, so my class started out with 48 students. I graduate in 48 days!

That's freakin awesome man. I have yet to begin my quest into the radiology world but I'm giving it my honest effort. Is there a certain modality you'd like to specialize in? I find myself wanting to do MRI.

I just got my acceptance letter yesterday and i had a 4.0 GPA. I really think it helped me get into the program because they can be pretty competitive.

Hello everyone, I am new here and I thought that I would just pop in and introduce myself while posting my first post. I am currently taking my Anatomy and physiology 1 which is my last prerequisite for the radiology program. After I pass this class I am hoping to be able to start the program fall of 09. The community college I am attending is currently filling for fall 2010, but I am hoping that the current trend when filling spots continues. When they filled the 08 class they pulled from the 09 list and when they fill the 09 class I hope they pull me from the 2010 list. If not 2010 it is. Good luck to everyone

I got into my school with a 2.2 college GPA. I probably had a 2.0 for the courses that were prerequisites. Don't let that fool you though, my school is extremely selective. They only accept 12 people yearly. I had 6 separate interviews with 6 different faculty members (all of them). I also had to take a healthcare aptitude test, submit ACT scores, 3 letters of reference, and an essay. Cutoff for ACT was 19. My ACT score and healthcare experience probably made up for my college apathy.

Im sure there are plenty of other schools that don't rely so much on GPA as long as you are sharp and personable. The school I got into is the best in my city and my GPA was lacking. I'm only 1.5 months in and I already have about 140 clinical hours. It is my experience that the best schools aren't always overly concerned with GPA. Proven interest can take you a lot farther than your GPA can. Volunteer or get a job at a hospital. Learn the lingo. When they ask you why you want to be a technologist ... have a serious answer.

My GPA was a 3.29. I just finished my first semester of the radiology program and now in January we are going to stare clinicals. I am a little nerveous and I know that is when I am going to find out if radiology is for me or not. I made all B's in the three radiology classes I have taken so far. I enjoyed the classes and have wounderful teachers.
