|
I really need help interpreting an ultrasound of the neck. I won't be able to see my doctor for a few more weeks and I was hoping some of you could provide some insight into it?
I just uploaded the 30images from the ultrasound into a high quality you-tube video, it contains all the measurements and everything on the necessary photos:

You can pause on the images, and view full-screen
If you could take a look, and point out any abnormalities that you see? I know this forum isn't for stuff like this, but I'm a little desperate to understand what these images mean, and you guys are knowledgeable about this so... Thanks so much! I appreciate it. |

It isn't just that this "forum isn't for stuff like this" ..
In the first place, you're asking for expert opinion from ... who? As with other internet sites, this is an ANONYMOUS forum. There are no requirements for those who post here - you have no idea if the person responding to you knows anything at all about US/thyroid/parathyroid imaging. There's not even a guarantee that the response comes from someone employed in healthcare.
In the second, images uploaded as a video (not as diagnostic quality images), and viewed on a standard quality PC monitor (not a recommended diagnostic quality monitor) will not provide the resolution necessary for diagnosis.
And most importantly, radiographers, sonographers and other imagers (whatever experience we may have) are not qualified to interpret diagnostic imaging studies and discuss findings with patients.
I understand your anxiety and desire for information. But the reassurance you're looking for needs to come from a qualified physician.
You might try contacting the facility where your US was performed. No guarantees, but the radiologist who interpreted your US may be willing to speak with you (although many Rads are not comfortable in this role).
Good luck,

I'm not really looking for an expert opinion, just random comments. I'd be taking them all with a grain of salt.
ie. is the thyroid enlarged at 65.5mm if that is indeed the thyroid at 0:06? |
