I am a Sonography student and recently completed an online test. The following question really stumped me, and I was wondering if anyone knew the answer.

"What is an echogenic triangular shaped structure within the left lobe of the liver?"

The answer choices included:
-ligamentum venosum
-Falciform ligament
-ligamentum teres
-Ligament of Treitz

Thanks for your help!

I did some online anatomical searches, even some really simple stuff in wikipedia and found it in multiple places.

It's the ligamentum teres.
Know it! It's often tested on the ARDMS boards.
I am an instructor in a sonography program and this is something I always make sure my students can define and ID on images.
Good luck.
HTH!
