Traveling CT

I am a registered CT Tech, and am interested in taking a traveling job. However, I have applied with at least 6 companies and have not found an assignment anywhere. Does anyone know if it is just the market, or if I am applying to the wrong places? Anyone working in the traveling field and have some advice for a first time traveler?

as far as the lack of jobs, it's most likely a market thing. around here (northern virginia/dc metro area) the only places really hiring radiology staff are the ones who are expanding their department with other equipment.

as far as advice for a new traveler: make sure you're signed up with more than one company. even when the market gets better, you don't want to keep all your eggs in one basket.
