Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience or knows anyone with experience of transferring from one rad tech program to another? I currently reside on the west coast and am thinking of moving out to the east coast. However, I've just started a radiation therapist technology program and I'd like to inquire about whether or not transferring to another program is (1) even possible, and (2) if so, is it a relatively smooth transition? Do programs allow transfers or would they prefer having students start and finish at one program? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks all... and I'm overjoyed to finally be in the presence of such awesome professionals as yourselves. _________________ jcj2081

Do you know what area you will be moving to? I think your best bet would be find radiation therapy schools in that state and talk to them about transferring. I would imagine that each school has their own transferring policies. They may say they will consider a transfer student, but if they have more than enough local applicants, they may choose them over an out of state student. Who knows?
If it were me, I'd play it safe and stay at your current school and finish up...then move if that's an option.
