I am a first year student doing a report on quality management for a QM class and we have to do QM tests at a local hospital then write a report on what we find. I have to "Identify the training required to become a quality management technologist, Identify the duties of a Quality Management technologist, and Discuss the role of a Physicist in regards to QM" I have looked everywhere it seems and I cant find anything about a QM technologist. Does anyone know where I could find information online about any of those (trustworthy site and info no older than 2004)? Any help is very very much appreciated.

Believe it or not, information of that type can be found on the website of our certifying agency - the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). They also provide the certification exam for QM.

I am new to this blog, so please forgive me if this info is somewhat ''after the fact'' (but please share with the classes behind you).

Ironically, I am a Quality Management technologist (12 years) working with a team of medical physycists. I also teach QM REGISTRY REVIEW classes part time. Here's a comprehensive resource that I and our instructors use in our RT program:

Quality Management in the Imaging Sciences- Papp, J (3RD EDITION,2006)

Good Luck in your program!
