hi i am a sonographer and i want to enroll in a training course of MRI but someone i was talking to start discouraging that it is a lot of work as one has to move the patients on the machine and you get too tired and get muskuloskeletal injuries in the long run worse than ultrasound is it a fact?

Just like any other Radioologic Speciality, you have to help the patients on/off table. The MRI coils can be cumbersome and heavy to some. Most MRI scans take 30-40 minutes. Once the patient is positioned on the MRI table, the Tech sets up the scans taking about 3-4 minutes total and then sits back and watches the patient and the scans as they appear. Its a relatively easy job in my opinion. I would think an US Tech would have carpal tunnel problems from holding the transducer day after day. In my opinion MRI is one of the easiests jobs in the Radiological filed.
