What is thermionic emission, & which part of the tube is responsible for it?

It is the boiling off of electrons from the filament of the cathode.

thermionic emission is the process of boiling of electrons and it happends in the filament . filament is loacated in the cathode side of xary tube. when 3-5 amp or 10-12 volts goes to the filament from step down transformer, the filamnet will heat up a and it glows
