Sonography Vs Radiology Technician

Hello
I have the opportunity to attend two different programs but am looking for additional insight and advice from those with experience in each field.

The choice is whether or not to enter training for Sonography or Radiology. The research I've done suggests both fields as being challenging but my concerns are marketability (actually finding work after schooling) and pay.

Can someone offer advice ?

Hi Jack,

I know that internationally there are LOTS of sonography positions available, but I can't say for the US. (I'm a Canadian radiographer, working in Ireland). If you're looking to travel Ultrasound gets a lots more hits on job sites, though Radiography isn't too shabby either. Personally, I'm very happy with radiography. Ultrasound is quite different, but the techs I know find it to be very rewarding. I hope you find the one that's right for you! Smile
