Is it possible to become a certified sonographer after completing a radiologic technology program at a vocational school without enrolling into another program in sonography?

What I mean is there aren't any sonography schools in my area and I'd like to know if it is possible to receive on the job training as a sonographer after radiology school.

Not any more. I haven't seen a hospital in the last 10 years that hired a sonographer who had not been through a sonography program.
I recently left FL and came up here to Connecticut. Yale's School of Sonography offers a 1-year program of sonography, specifically for Radiographers (their usual sonography program for people who are not already registered is 2 years long).
