I've looked at Toshiba(which I have now 4 row),GE, and siemens, been on site visits and have had presentations. I just wondered who has a 64 row multislice scanner, and whats your opinion on your scanner
Thanks _________________ CTDave

Dave,
W have a 32 slice scanner Toshiba. You can upgrade to 64 later. Best quality images. isotropic resolution. User friendly. Most of the hifg tech scanners provide all same softwares and good image quality.
I am impressed. |

BMRTians,
Thanks for your input. We are now looking at the Toshiba, and GE VCT. The Doc's are in favor of the GE, my preference is the Toshiba 64. Our Doc's want to do cardiac imaging, so they want a good 64 MDCT. Been to site visit on both models, I still like the Toshiba, but the GE seemed more tech friendly. Its all up to the board and CFO on purchase.
Again thank you for your input! _________________ CTDave

I think a Toshiba Brand should be good. My friend has one and it hasn't been broken or screwed up since he bought it, which was a while ago. |

Thanks megs,
We purchased a GE VCT, with a cardiac package, and Vital Image workstations. It will be installed in December to conicide with the opening of our new cardiac surgery unit.
I found the unit to be very tech friendly, and was impressed with the Linux security feature. It was by far the best of all the scanners I looked at in our search.
I will be attending GE training in November.
Thanks again for your input. _________________ CTDave
