I'm looking to become an MRI Technician. I've been looking for information on the education required, but can't seem to find much. I figured this would be a good place to ask. Do I have to get some kind of general radiology degree first? I'm in Vacaville, in Solano County in Northern California. Anyone have any recommendations on schools? Good ones, bad ones, etc? Thank you all for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.

I found one program that looks promising. Kaiser Permanente has one about 30 miles away from the city that I live in. Anyone have any experience with this school?

The Kaiser school in Richmond seems to be a great school. I have checked it out and it has a very good reputation. And, they will wave ALL of your tuition if you work for Kaiser for so many years after you are done.
