OK you guys. Talk to me about report TAT. Specifically, I'm interested in academic settings with voice recognition.

I'm also concerned about prelim reports - are your reports visible in the EMR as soon as they go into P status? Even though they've been reviewed only by a resident, and not an attending? How does your facility handle this issue?

When I was in Academics, we permitted the preliminary report to be viewed as soon as it became available. We felt this would improve the care of the patient. It also met the 24 hour or less standard for TAT. Hope this helps. Laughing

Highlight everything you want to print by holding down the left side button of your mouse and dragging your mouse down the page to where you want to stop printing. Right click on the highlighted part. Click on "print". Make sure you check the box beside "selection" or you won't print what you highlighted. Hope this helps.
