We just started scanning CTA Coronary in an office for a cardiologist. I know a radiologist will have to do an overead on the lung. I am wondering if the whole lung has to be imaged or do they just read the area of lung in the field of view around the heart. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on how your CT vendor set up your CCTA protocol the radiologist will read all information that is in the SFOV(Scanned Field of View) if this includes the chest then they will comment on the chest structures, and the cornary vessels.

Heres a good article to read: Cardiac CT angiography training picks up steam.

Hope this helps. Wink
