Okay so I have worked in 5 states and a traveling job as a technologist and I hate to burst your bubble BUT every city in every state will be different. As an example the big cities pay more but you deal with more also, stress, trauma, wierd hours---small towns pay less but it may not be as hectic. As far as years working in the field, it has never paid much and each facility has there own calculations such as 5 cents per year per hour or a maximum amount for so many years in the field. I am just thankful that after 30 years I have never been without a job and one that pays a good wage, not fantastic but enough for me and my family to live on and not complain. I suppose salary is all in where you want to be and what you want to be paid. |

I made $18 as a starting tech about 7.5 years ago. After this experience, and becoming the lead angio tech, I pull $32 and change/ hours, and with all the call I take, it comes out to about $70-$75,000/year. Sweet!
