If you have any intrest in the subject, watch that movie. Buy or rent it if you have to. I have a good grasp on many religions and this made me consider lots of issues in different ways.

I've always thought that any god worthy of being god would realize different peoples needed different messengers to help spread the universal message. I saw some of that in this movie...

Also, while I am "preaching"...

Do not hate another religion for violent fractions who do harm in the name of god or whatever WORD you want to give for it. At least until you look at the history of your religion.

http://www.religiousatrocities.org

That site list the horrific "in the name of god" events for each major religion and many minor ones.

"quote just about every religon - i'm right, you're wrong, follow me/us or you will peril in [hell]"

i've noticed that just about every religon has it. sad, really: base your afterlife on a sales pitch.

the idea that every religion is the same based on their view of the afterlife is absurd. the main example being that christianity is the only "religion" by which the person in consideration is not responsible for his/her own salvation. according to biblical teaching you can neither gain nor lose salvation based upon your own merits or demerits as the case may be. EVERY other religion has some form of reward or punishment system based on one's own accomplisments.

Sounds like christianity is the perfect capitalist religion - no responsibility Smile
