|
Most schools that are accredited (Comm Colleges) have a 1 year (or more) wait to get in, but schools like Keiser or Medvance in Florida allow you to enter immediately?!!! (they cost around $40,000 to complete a 2 yr program)
Does anyone know how they are viewed by employers? Are these type of schools a costly mistake or are they considered equally by HR depts of hospitals, etc.?
Please help - don't want to make the wrong decision! The counselors seem like they get paid to get you to sign up... also highly suspicious...
Thanks in advance for ANY input |

Hello,
When i tried for Nursing, i was going to go to Keiser.
I thought the same thing. They seemed more worried about the money than our education. I have heard from a few people that it is great at that school, yes its pricey but i heard it is a wonderful school. i guess there is pro's and con's to every school. Try looking for school in Hospitals.
I am in a hospital based Rad Tech program that is accredited and i will have a degree behind me when im done from the community college.
I love it Because i will gain so much more clincal experience, expecially since it is the Number 1 trama hospital in my city.
They say its better to go to a community college because you have smaller classes and learn more closely, but i have also heard they like for you to come from a large university. Either way, it was to long of a wait and i chose The hospital based program and I know i wont have a hard time finding a job.
Good luck to you. |

thanks for your reply! I suppose I would rather err on the side of caution and bear the ridiculous wait times to get in to a comm coll program...
However, I still might consider the private program if I had some input from a Keiser student.
I can't seem to find any reviews or opinions of their program on the web?! |
