We are currently recruiting a Medical Physicist for a biotechnology company in Philadelphia. The company currently has multiple products in clinical trials that will enhance molecular imaging in the study and treatment of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. One product recently advanced to Phase II trials and another helped produce an “Image of the Year” Award winner at the 2007 SNM Annual Meeting.

The Physicist will be responsible for the optimization of imaging parameters in the further development of these new SPECT and PET agents, and coordinate image acquisition protocols using different types of imaging equipment. Candidates must have strong Physics and Nuclear Medicine instrumentation experience and specialize in image processing and data analysis, particularly an understanding of medical imaging file formats (especially DICOM), and a working knowledge of functional neuroanatomy and neurophysiology. Permanent residency in the Philadelphia area will also be required.
