Has anyone heard that you may need to be registered in your modality to work it. Its not effective as of now but I want to say I remember reading it somewhere that its coming to that. I am reg MR and R but not CT, so i am planning on taking the ct reg.

As far as modality certification goes, the only time I've heard this mentioned is by state regulation or by facility policy. I have worked in hospitals that hired only imagers certified for their position and that was an institutional policy, not a state requirement.

If you have questions about your area, check with your state licensing agency (if you're a licensure state) and with HR at your facility.

There is currently no national licensure ...
