Hello. I applied to a RT program and will find out the end of May if I am accepted. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what I can do now to help prepare myself for the 1st semester which starts late Aug?
Thanks |

I'm in my 2nd semester in a 2yr program. I'd imagine it depends on your program but I hear they're all pretty demanding, so be prepared to turn your life upside down to get through it. Make sure it's what you want to do. Realize there's SOOOO much more than just taking pictures. You will cry and feel like it's gonna break you, but if you enjoy it and it's what you want, then you can do it. |

Thank you for the reply. I am a volunteer at a hospital in the RT dept and that is exactly what they tell me. That is why I am trying to find out what I can start doing now (within the next 4 months) in order to help me such as what can I start studying in advance.
What school do you attend?
Thank you for your time and information you provide.

I just started the 2 year RT program locally. I agree. Be prepared to learn the ins and outs of it all!
Good luck! |

Hi guys! I live in the Detroit Metr area and currently work as a patient transporter for the Detroit Medical Center. This is my second year applying to several programs, and this year I was accepted into the DMC program, which starts July 6th.
I am a pretty quiet person, not very outspoken. I am pretty smart, but uncomfortable in situations where I don't know what I am doing yet. Any ideas or advice to help me have self confidence and succeed in the program?
