NEED FAST TRACK SCHOOL

i'VE BEEN AN X-RAY TECH FOR ALMOST THIRTY YEARS AND HAVE KEPT UP MY CREDITS BUT HAVE LET MY ARRT LAPSE. YES I AM AN IDIOT BUT I DID NOT NEED ARRT TO WORK IN NEW YORK. NOW I'M TOLD I NEED TO RETURN TO SCHOOL TO RECERTIFY. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A FAST TRACK COURSE IN NEW YORK OR ONLINE. I CAN'T LET MY CAREER GO DOWN THE TUBES LIKE THIS. PLEASE HELP.

I wish you luck .. but I don't think you're going to find what you're looking for.

Unfortunately, if you haven't kept up with ARRT CE requirements (which might have made a difference), I don't think they'll accept anything less than basics - an accredited program including the required number of clinical hours as a student.

The only accredited programs are those listed on the ARRT website.

Have you actually spoken to the ARRT yet? Or did someone else tell you to return to school?

I just found this on the ARRT site (from this form - http://www.arrt.org/education/ceinstructreins.pdf)

"FIVE YEAR RULE - Individuals who do not apply for reinstatement of registration within this five-year window may regain eligibility only by again successfully comleting all didactic and clinical competency requirements of an educational program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the ARRT".

I don't think there is such a thing as a 'fast-track' course.
