I just wanted to say hello to everyone in here. I have been lurking this forum for a little while, and have found many posts useful at answering those off the wall questions that we as students have.
I am about 1 year through a college based program in MD, and I am loving it! I am really glad I picked this field. I see now how rewarding it can be.
The one thing so far that I do not like? When I am in one x-ray room at my base hospital, and have to walk clear across the department (long walk!) to another room just to find a shield! I will do this every single time to find that shield too, but there is just something wrong with the fact that I have to do it!
Take care!

My AA from PGCC 1979, clinical at PG and (it used to be called ) North Arundel Hospital. I think it became part of GBMC or UMD.

Very cool! I am also at PGCC. If you remember, was Karen Moorman a teacher then? She says she has been doing x-ray since it was invented (haha).
I am at St. Mary's hospital, and will be at Calvert Memorial hopefully next year.

Nope, she wasn't there. It was Mary Chenowith (who has since died) and Evan Clarke (and I heard he had also passed away).
PGCC is a good school. Enjoy yourself - soak up as much as you can, keep the patient's welfare first always and we'll see you on the other side in a couple of years.
