Job Description:
Demonstrates compassion, caring and respect while working within the scope of MRI TECHNOLOGIST, providing excellence in Imaging for safe, accurate, efficient and personal service to our patients, families and caregivers at all times. Works collaboratively with all healthcare team members toward the best outcomes for the patient and the organization. Performs routine and advanced MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) procedures using independent judgment to meet patient care needs. Uses and understands MRI equipment, the independent workstation, post processing software programs and applicable hardware needed to obtain diagnostic quality exams that are tailored to patient needs. Participation in on-call rotation is optional with this per diem position.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited 2-4 year Radiologic Technology Program

License/Certification: Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T). Must hold current Radiology Technologist Certification with the State of Washington Department of Health. MRI Registration preferred (must be obtained within 12 months of hire). Current CPR certification required.

Experience and/or Training: PACS/RIS knowledge required. ImageCast/LastWord/ CareCast experience preferred. One (1) year of previous experience in MRI. Prefer previous experience working in a hospital environment. Previous experience in at least a Level II Trauma Center preferred.

Special Skill/Demands: Strong math and computer skills required. Performs work during periods of crisis and emergency situations. Must be able to lift/ move moderate/heavy loads such as patients and mobile equipment on a routine basis. IV skills required. Must have strong skills in anatomy and pathology. Needs ability to perform physical requirements of the job.
