I am currently enrolled in a RT program, with the sole purpose of going on to MRI. I now hear that it is a possibility that in 2007, MR technologists will not need a RT degree, but their own MR degree. Has anyone heard of anything? I will graduate in 2007 so I won't have time to be grandfathered in. Am I wasting my time?

Contact the arrt at www.arrt.org for the most up to date information on that. They are the ones who control the certification process.
