Hi, I need an opinion about MedVance Institute. Is it a good school to learn Radiology? I haven't heard anything about it because there in not one where I live. Is it expensive? If anyone knows anything about this school please let me know.

Thanks Smile

Before you do anything else, you'll need to check on the ARRT website, here: http://www.arrt.org/index.html?content=http://www.arrt.org/nd/listOfSchools.ndm/listSchools&iframe=yes

This is comprehensive list of all schools who have a program accredited by the ARRT. If you complete a program at a school not on this list, you will not be eligible to sit for the national certification exam. Waste of 2+ years ....

I looked into MedVance before I found a school. Dont do it if you want a good education. They are very pushy there and seem like they only want the money. Their entrance exam is a joke; my 11 year old neice could have passed it. I have worked with their students before and I would guess that maybe one out of 10 would pass the registry; if that. Try to find another program if you can. Plus its around $30,000. Crying or Very sad Hope this helped Wink

hey calamity21 i think our friend here is a little misinformed about medvance. i am a current student there and i'll be the first to say that there could be room for improvement but no school is perfect, as far as registry passes are concerned our last graduating class has done very well. I know of four students who have passed the registry-one even got a 97- we all use the same books, go to the same clinical sites its up to you the student to be the best tech you can.
