You may not have gotten any answers because .. if they're like me, the folks here have fairly strong feelings on this topic.
In my professional opinion, limited licensure has a limited place in healthcare. One of the functions of the position is to allow facilities and physicians to stay within the letter of the law, yet avoid paying for a fully-licensed imager. Potential for abuse of the position is high, and there are few checks in place to prevent it. (Abuse not meaning assault on the employee with the limited license .. abuse meaning allowing/encouraging the employee to perform outside their scope of practice).
For the most part, you will not find radiographers who will encourage you in this endeavor. Limited licensure degrades my profession, offends my ethics and I would encourage you - if you are interested in a career in medical imaging - to invest the time and effort necessary to become a professional, rather than using this "shortcut".

Take if from me a Pratical Radiologic Tech. dont bother wasting your time or money on this program go for the real thing. I found it very difficult to find a job as a PRT (or limited tech), if your are lucky to find a job in a hospital you will be doing paper work and transporting. Sorry to be so blunt but I dont want you to make the same mistake I did. I am currently in a RT program and set to graduate in Aug 08.
Best of luck |

Everyone who replied is absolutly right. You will not like being limited scope. You will waste a lot of time and money to become one. In my state you could make the same pay working as a cashier at wal-mart. |
