We are thing about developing an image retrieval system, which is able to automatically search for similar cases in from a database based on visual similarity to back diagnostic conclusion, for instance, if you find something but now quite sure about its properties, you might want to search for cases with similar appearance, an image search engine can help you to do that and return cases rated by visual similarity.
Any one got an idea about this kind of systems, any similar thing available on market, does it really help users ？
