I work on a GE Mobile 1.5 at a decent sized hospital.

The hospital is pushing for us to scan intubated patients (i work for an outside company that provides services) and to that end my company has purchased the whole nine yards (mr compatible vent, infusion pumps, monitor).

I'm concerned about patient safety in the mobile environment. the equipment is good sized and as anyone who has done mobile mri knows spaces is severely limited. We have attemtped two and both have gone poorly (which is a bit of an understatement).

has anyone had any experience with this or know of any literature out there discussing the scans and risks involved.

I've not had much luck searching the web thus far.

thanks.
