We are just starting to perform in-office MRI's of wrists, 2nd & 3rd MCP's and 4th & 5th MTP's. I cannot seem to find assistance on proper coding. We have been told we should bill for wrist and MCP's if both are performed. I find modifiers for digits, but not wrist. And should we bill individually for each digit. Thank you for any help. _________________ Saundra

Coding an exam depends on what kind of coding sytem your hospital is using. For axample: there are systems which have only one code for wrist, hand and mcp but in other sytems you should code them separately. So this is hard to tell.... _________________ Don't postpone to tomorrow what can be done today by someone else
