We are just starting to perform in-office MRI's of wrists, 2nd & 3rd MCP's and 4th & 5th MTP's. I cannot seem to find assistance on proper coding. We have been told we should bill for wrist and MCP's if both are performed. I find modifiers for digits, but not wrist. And should we bill individually for each digit. Thank you for any help.

Coding an exam depends on what kind of coding sytem your hospital is using. For axample: there are systems which have only one code for wrist, hand and mcp but in other sytems you should code them separately. So this is hard to tell....
