I need help and info!! Did my school do an adequate job???

I just finished a vascular ultrasound program and I am getting told my employers that my schooling was not sufficient. My school did not teach us anything about scaning calves or vein mapping. Thier theory on calves that if it works at the knee and at the ankle then there is not a problem and im finding this not to be true when looking for a job and my school says that you do not need to know calves or vein mapping. Could anyone tell me who is right!!!
