that in 2010 (give or take a year..) that anyone who passes the boards/registry will be required to take it every 2-3 years to remain licensed. Even with a lot of googling , I couldnt find anything. Can anyone confirm or debunk this rumor for me? Apologies if this has been posted and i'm stating the obvious!

I've heard this, too. ARRT's site has information about certificates issued after 2011:
