Would an injury that occurred three months prior to having an MRI appear different to one that occurred years prior? The patient was in an MVA and has anterior wedging of the T9 vertebra but as I am still learning all this I am unsure whether there would still be odema around it if it happened that many months before. (There isn't any) Or are there other tell tale signs I should be looking for?

Does anyone have any ideas for me yet? This is for an assignment not for a real patient in case you were wondering. Any help would be appreciated
