i'm trying to get into RT school (specifically certificate or associate's degree programs), but wondering how competitive these programs are. applying in the NYC area, already applied to New York Methodist, looking at Nassau Comm Coll. don't qualify for MSKCC's program cause i don't have the a&p, but their program seems ultra competitive anyways... a friend suggested I apply to like 10 or more schools to hedge my bets....
Seems RT programs in general are pretty small, < 10 students per incoming class. is this because it's very competitive or 'cause not that many people apply? i heard from someone at NY Methodist that they have tons of seats for RT, but that they just don't fill it up, like 40 seats open but only 10 come into the prog each year. |

I am in pretty much the same boat as you, but I live on Long Island. I just interviewed at Nassau Community College, the interview went well, but I'm not really sure how I feel about my chances of getting in. There were so many applicants and they only accept 11 students. How did you make out with your search? |
