Is it hard to get a clinical site? I have applied to a CVIT online program. The school said that I can get a clinical site close to where I live. Can anyone help point me in the right direction to securing a good clinical site. Should I call around, or go talk to them in person???

I think you should call and visit. This shows you are a serious student and interested in the field. I recommend university hospitals to see the newest and latest procedures. I am one of the sr special procedure techs at my own hospital and we are the university hospital. We have quite a bit going on here. Good Luck.

I am an RT who has worked in an Endovascular lab for approx 2 years. I am looking for info for the vascular registry. Does anyone have anything of use?

WOW!!!! Thanks for the information. I didn't realize that I wrote this almost a year ago. Since then I have completed a cardiovascular interventional program, and now I work as a cardic cath/special procedures tech at a great hospital! It's amazing what 1 year can do. I got my clinical sites, and now I'm looking forward to taking the CI registry, but am very nervous about it because there are really no study materials for the new test. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, please send them my way.

Good luck with this X-Ray girl. This can be hard but it is very worth, since my friend is making good money off of this.
