I read in the newest issue of Scanner that it is unethical to double-load cassettes.

If we are not increasing our teachnique to expose these films, why is such practice considered unethical?

Most radiographic film cassettes have two intensifying screens designed to use two sided emulsion film.

If the cassette was loaded with two films, you would loose the speed advantage of two sided films. You would technically have to increase your exposure to compensate.

ALARA violation.

Why would someone want to do this in the first place?
Why not copy the films if needed?
