distance for ribs

hi, does anyone shoot there ribs at 72" and why.

I do mostly MRI but occasionally do some radiography.

I did a set of ribs the other day and decided to use 72" SID.

Advantages: Better detail (as SID increases detail increases), less magnification.

Disadvantages: More load on the tube (almost four times the technique required compared to 40"SID), greater chance of motion artifacts if you increase your time to compensate for greater SID.
