We are about to test digital radiography with GE,
so long I have found standards but I am worried I missing something.
In film radiography we have classes of films.
What about CR? Is there any standard about the pixel size that should be used in each case?
How about the digital equivalents of requirements for film type & radiograph density?
The limit of screen pixel drop off and the optimum screen contras/brightness?
More over I want to know whats the main differences in acceptance criteria.
CEN standards
EN 14784-1 : Industrial CR with storage phosphor imaging plates
Part 1 : Classification of systems
EN 14784-2 : Industrial CR with storage phosphor imaging plates
Part 2 : General principles for examination of metals using X-rays and gamma rays
ISO standards
ISO 10042
ASTM standards:
ASTM 2007-00 : Standard Guide for Computed Radiography
ASTM E1936-03(2007): Standard Reference Radiograph for Evaluating the Performance of Radiographic Digitization Systems
ASTM 2033-99 : Standard Practice for Computed Radiography
ASTM 2445-05 : Standard Practice for Qualification and Long-Term Stability of CR systems
ASTM 2446-05 : Standard Practice for Classification of CR systems
ASTM 2339-04 : Digital Imaging and Communication in NDE (DICONDE)
ASTM E 2422: First digital catalogue-light alloy casting
ASME code:
ASME Code Case 2476 : Radiography using phosphor imaging plates
