What is the best thing to study for the CT registry? Has anyone taken the MIC course? It cost $300 but guarantees that you pass or your money back. If anyone has used the MIC course please let me know and was this the ONLY thing you studied? Thanks

cheriebric,

Here is a link to the study guide at MIC(Medical Imaging Consultants) Study Guide, this will lead you to the course description, and what is provided in the course. I took the registry in 1995, we didn't have any the learning tools that are provided now in the field. I took the first ARRT registry and passed.

All the techs I've trained, that took the course (and passed), swear by this course, its very comprehensive, so you don't really need any other text.

I would suggest buying the book Registry Review in Computed Tomography (Paperback) by Daniel N. DeMaio. Its very similar to actual registry, all information is up to date and most of the anatomy in this book is on the registry. It will help you improve your score.

I would also suggest finding other CT tech's in your area who want to take the registry, MIC gives discounts for multiple users.

If you have any other questions please PM me and I would be glad to help.

So far I've had six tech's take the MIC course and pass, and another is taking the registry now.

I'm not affiliated with the MIC website, or the company, I just know they provided the best material online.

Have a great day. Wink
