I have been told several ways to correctly mark a hand xray. Laterally which would be fith digit and also medial by the first digit (anatomically correct. I have searched the web and all of the films I see are laterally.
any thoughts

You should always place your marker on the Lateral aspect of the extremity. This way you'll always know whether you've done an AP or PA view.

I always mark the lateral side of all extremities so I know which way to hang it. _________________ Jodie
