anishp403,

1. Buy the book, Registry Review in Computed Tomography (Paperback) by Daniel N. DeMaio (Author) around $34 on amazon.com. Very accurate information in a test format. Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0721662854/ref=olp_product_details/104-3388877-7084731?ie=UTF8&seller=

2. Also buy the book, Pocket Atlas of Body CT Anatomy (Radiology Pocket Atlas Series) (Paperback) by W. Richard Webb (Author), Michael B Gotway (Author) $ 10.00 used on amazon.com. One of the best CT anatomy books. Link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0721662854/ref=olp_product_details/104-3388877-7084731?ie=UTF8&seller=

3. Download the .pdf file from the ARRT, CONTENT SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXAMINATION IN COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY pdf file, and make sure your in compliance before taking the exam. Link: http://www.arrt.org/examinations/contentspecs/CT_CS_2005.pdf

4. Visit this site on CT Physics, Online Multi-slice helical CT physics and technology slide show. Link: http://www.impactscan.org/slides/eanm2002/index.htm

5. Visit my good friends website, CT Study Group, Tammie Wolfs, CT Study Group is well organized, easy to navigate, and highly recommended for techs who would like to share information, before taking their CT boards.

6. And finally if you want to spend the money ($299) you can take the course from Medical Imaging Consultants, they guarantee you to pass the ARRT CT exam or your money back! CE Credits 19 Category A CE credits. All I can tell you about this course is that 4 of my tech's took it and had 95% or above on the exam. I only recommend this if you have the money, or can find other tech's in your area that will share the cost.

You must ask questions of your experienced CT tech's, this is the best way to learn, and apply to what you study.

I'm currently working on a power point presentation on CT, for radiology students, and will post it on my website. Dave's Places In Radiology.

Hope this helps you.

I agree with the material Dave suggested. I would like to add one more course. MIC actually makes two different courses. The one Dave writes about is a registry review course and is very good.

We currently ask our cross-trainees to purchase the MIC CT Crosstrainer Program. We've cross-trained three (3) technologists from x-ray into CT in the past year and they've all done well.
