HELLO, I AM STILL RESEARCHING WHILE I WAIT TO HEAR BACK ABOUT MY COLLEGE CREDITS TRANSFERRING OVER SO I KNOW WHERE TO START WITH MY PRE REQ CLASS. I WORK FULL TIME AND LIKE MANY HAVE A MORTGAGE AND CAR NOTES, ALONG WITH OTHER BILLS. MY CONCERN IS THE CLINICAL TRAINING. CAN ANYONE WHO WORKED FULL TIME WHILE IN SCHOOL SHARE HOW THEY DID IT..I.E WORKED 2ND OR 3RD SHIFT? ALSO HOW MANY DAYS PER WEEK ARE CLINICALS, WHAT ARE THE HOURS, AND ARE YOU ABLE TO SCHEDULE YOUR OWN CLINICALS OR DOES THE INSTRUCTOR SCHEDULE CLINICALS?
THANK YOU |

No one in my class worked fulltime either. The program takes up a lot of time.
As far as your clinical questions, the answers vary widely from school to school, so you need to ask your school those questions. As far as my program was concerned, we had clinical all day...8-4:30, and our hours and locations were scheduled for us. The days varied from semester to semester. One semester it could be M,W,F, another could be M,T,W....etc.
It worked out so that once you had clinical, class time and study time, the program was more than a fulltime job hour-wise. We definitely put more than 40 hours a week into school every week. I would assume that most programs are similar, but you're better off contacting the specific school you would go to.
I'm not trying to scare you off, but just give you an idea of the reality of what school will probably be like.
Good luck! |
